Tackling the Global Water Crisis with Innovation

Many understand the term, but few grasp the overall magnitude and severity of the situation. It is considered one of the most significant and complex challenges of our time. The extent of the problem is enormous, affecting all inhabitable continents throughout our planet. Imagine helping 10 million people affected by the global water crisis and you didn’t even solve half of one percent of the issue. That is but a small glimpse of the challenge mankind is facing!

Every year, over one million people die from waterborne-related illnesses, the majority of them children. In many parts of the world, people’s only option is to walk miles to gather water from a polluted source, full of deadly viruses, parasites, bacteria, toxic chemicals, and heavy metals. In remote parts of the world, especially Africa or Southeast Asia, no infrastructure exists, no clean running water, no electricity, only heavily polluted bodies of water… Imagine being born in this situation. You are completely helpless.

That is why it is our duty to support those who need it most, helping provide the very essence of all life: clean water.

There are two major aspects to solving the global water crisis, one being funding, second being a solution. Some areas are affected by drought or water scarcity but for the most part we are dealing with a contaminated water crisis.

Drilling wells can take years in remote areas, costing more than many communities can afford. Annual water delivery services to remote parts of the world are neither sustainable nor cost-effective. Not to mention, traditional infrastructure simply doesn’t reach the most isolated, under served populations, leaving hundreds of millions without power and safe drinking water.

The Hydronamis Disaster Relief Device (DRD) is an immediate solution to solving the global water crisis.
