Tackling the Global Water Crisis with Innovation
What comes to mind when you hear the words - global water crisis?
Many understand the term, but few grasp the overall magnitude and severity of the situation. It is considered one of the most significant and complex challenges of our time. The extent of the problem is enormous, affecting all inhabitable continents throughout our planet. Imagine helping 10 million people affected by the global water crisis and you didn’t even solve half of one percent of the issue. That is but a small glimpse of the challenge mankind is facing!
Every year, over one million people die from waterborne-related illnesses, the majority of them children. In many parts of the world, people’s only option is to walk miles to gather water from a polluted source, full of deadly viruses, parasites, bacteria, toxic chemicals, and heavy metals. In remote parts of the world, especially Africa or Southeast Asia, no infrastructure exists, no clean running water, no electricity, only heavily polluted bodies of water… Imagine being born in this situation. You are completely helpless.
That is why it is our duty to support those who need it most, helping provide the very essence of all life: clean water.
There are two major aspects to solving the global water crisis, one being funding, second being a solution. Some areas are affected by drought or water scarcity but for the most part we are dealing with a contaminated water crisis.
Drilling wells can take years in remote areas, costing more than many communities can afford. Annual water delivery services to remote parts of the world are neither sustainable nor cost-effective. Not to mention, traditional infrastructure simply doesn’t reach the most isolated, under served populations, leaving hundreds of millions without power and safe drinking water.
The Hydronamis Disaster Relief Device (DRD) is an immediate solution to solving the global water crisis. A major advantage of the DRD technology is that it can withstand the harsh environmental conditions of six continents. Engineered to endure: torrential downpour rain, wind, thunderstorms, earthquakes, hail, extreme heat, sandstorms, physical abuse, coastal saltwater areas, and high humidity for example. Allowing the device to remain fully operational no matter the conditions.
Why is this important? This is a major advancement that allows the DRD’s to be dispersed all throughout the globe, placing the solution at the very threshold of the crisis.
In another aspect, the DRD combines water filtration and solar-generated electricity in one portable, waterproof housing. The DRD purifies nearby contaminated surface water sources such as: oceans, rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, puddles, and even rainwater. The 8-stage heavy sediment reverse osmosis purification system and UV sterilizer eliminates parasites, viruses, bacteria, toxic chemicals, and heavy metals, transforming deadly water sources into safe, clean drinking water.
At the same time, the DRD’s powerful solar generator provides 5 kW of renewable energy, providing electricity to remote villages and underdeveloped countries around the world. Not only are we striving to provide clean water, the DRD would help advance primitive villages allowing them to power essential needs: lights, communication equipment, refrigeration, heating and cooling systems, medical equipment, cooking appliances and more. This is more than survival. It’s a chance for communities to thrive, unlocking a new doorway of opportunities in health, education, and stability.
